Chicken Korma

Serves 4

Ingredients for Recipe

• 4 oz Vegetable oil
• 1 to 1 ½ lb Chicken breast, cubed
• ¼ tsp (1.25 ml) Cumin seeds
• 6 oz Yellow onion, chopped
• 6 oz Fresh tomato, diced
• 4 oz Cashew nuts
• ½ tsp (2.5 ml) Garam Masala
• 3 oz Heavy cream
• 1 tsp (5 ml) Ginger garlic paste
• 1 tsp (5 ml) Salt (to taste)
• 6 oz Chicken stock
• ¼ tsp (1.25 ml) Fenugreek leaves
• ½ tsp (2.5 ml) Green chili, chopped

Preparation

1. In a frying pan heat 2 oz of vegetable oil until it shimmers. Add chicken and a little salt and cook until no longer pink. Set aside and reserve for the sauce.
2. In a sauce pan and add the rest of the oil and heat. Add cumin seeds and cook until they start to pop
3. Lower the heat a bit and add chopped onions and cook until they begin to soften, about 2 minutes, taking care not to burn them
4. Add tomatoes, stir and cook for an additional 2 minutes
5. Add cashews, garam masala, ginger garlic paste, salt (to taste) and chicken stock. Cook for 2-3 more minutes and then use an immersion blender to blend the whole mixture into a puree.
6. Add heavy cream, fenugreek leaves and chicken. Stir to combine.
7. Serve hot with basmati rice.

My friend recommended this place and I fell in love. I really miss this place. When I visit Philly again, this is on my to do list. This is my favorite place to eat in Elkins Park! So good, I love the Tikka Masala. Great flavors that complement each other, so creamy, so filling. Great service and they give a generous amount. Their naan was so warm and fresh too. I definitely plan on coming back. I wish I saved pics of my food during my time there. I am salivating as I'm thinking about their food haha. TBH I highly recommend anyone to this location. Easy and free parking lot. Tons of seating and great for groups or just a date. My Bf and I got it to go and it was perfect dinner for a rainy day. We even had leftover for next morning. I love their flavors and their sauce that I was able to cool chicken and use the remaining sauce. So yummy!! Everyone should try Tiiffin!

My wife and I order at least once a week. We also live two minutes away and love Indian food. I always order Salmon Tikka, cheese naan, and peshwari naan. I don't see the Salmon Tikka on their website right now. I'm hopeful they won't be removing that from their menu or I wouldn't continue eating there as frequently. My wife gets Paneer Korma.

The other reviews on here seem accurate as far as timeliness on take out or delivery. Give yourself some time and you won't be disappointed.

Ok. Tiffin probably is my favorite place to order from when I'm at work. I always order from that place. I will say at least twice a week. I had a situation one time, when one order took about two hours to be delivered. I was extremely angry. But the manager was so nice, he called me and came by himself after they finish working to apologize and explained how busy that day was. He also refunded that order. I was very satisfied because I felt they work so hard to earn a good repetition. I always appreciate that. I really recommend ordering from that place but always try to give them between 45 minutes to an hour to deliver

Let me start by saying that I was reluctant to attend this location due to the somewhat mediocre reviews; but I'm extremely pleased that I decided to disregard the negative reviews and decide on my own. Hey recently I went to Tiffin to have some Indian taste and I got the real Indian taste specially the butter chicken was delicious and that 2 with butter Naan it's like a extra icing on the cake and also they got nice gulaab jaamun as well in desert that reminds me of home town it was so good.

I have decided that I have to go there every weekend for dinner and the last but not the least the restaurant server was very nice and jolly and the ambiance of the restaurant was very cool .
